AND I BETTER START WITH INTRODUCING MYSELF.

I’M AN ENTREPRENEUR, MILSPOUSE, mom of 4, AND SO MUCH MORE!
Woman + Warrior Co.
was established in 2019, out of my BEDROOM!
and EVER since then, Man!
it’s been a RIDE.
“The Army is calling and I must go”

AS SOON AS MY BUSINESS HIT SIX-FIGURES…
I had to shut it down.
IN 2021, OUR FAMILY OF 6 EMBARKED ON A NEW ADVENTURE: MY HUSBAND made a career change from being A BUSINESS OWNER AND 12-year us Coast guard reserve…to commissioning as an active duty soldier in the us army.
WITHIN our first year living that “active duty military life”, we:
HAD A 7-MONTH LONG SEPARATION (DUE TO SCHOOLING)
LIVED IN OUR CAMPER FOR 2-MONTHS (DUE TO PAPERWORK MISHAPS)
CALLED 4 DIFFERENT STATES HOME (Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and Kansas)
PCS’D 3 TIMES (ALL DITy moves)
AND 3-weeks after REACHING OUR “FINAL DESTINATION” (FORT RILEY, Ks)…
WE WERE HIT WITH A 9-MONTH
DEPLOYMENT.
WITH A BUILT IN “EXTENSION”, AND ALL!
THE ARMY BASICALLY: “BAPTIZED US BY FIRE”…CAUGHT US UP ON ALL THE “EMOTIONAL WHIPLASH” WE’D MISSED…AND REALLY MADE SURE WE COULD
“EMBRACE THE SUCK”!
BUT HEY, YA KNOW?
WE MADE IT.
I believe that the lord has a plan for our lives,
a purpose and reason for every season,
AND THAT THE GOODNESS OF IT ALL
WILL BE REVEALED IN TIME.
DURING MY “INTRO TO THE ARMY” SEASON OF LIFE,
I EXPERIENCED SOME OF MY HIGHEST HIGHS AND LOWEST LOWS…
I WRESTLED WITH A LOT OF “WHYS”, “WHY NOTS”, “WHAT IFS” AND “WHENS”…
I LEARNED TO LEAN ON THE LORD, TO ASK FOR HELP, AND TO BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR…
I have grown to love and respect those in our military community, greatly…
in such a way THAT I never COULD fathom, if I were to still be living a civilian life…
And during this season of “forced rest”,
I gained so much
invaluable clarity of direction
and creative purpose,
not just for my business,
but for my life.
